Damn, I was meant to keep this updated. Looks like I failed in my efforts to keep a promise to myself. I haven't had anything reaaaallly busy to do, but I guess I forgot about the fact I had a blog. So for now, until I do have something to update about, here's a picture of Iron man.
That safe haven within my mind..

New year, New problems.
December the 21st, 2012. The end of the world (speculated, of course)
Now, I know what you're thinking.
Well, not exactly. The end of the Mayan calender suggests that the world comes to an end. Now, you might be thinking "Well if the calender ends, maybe they didn't make enough". If that were the case, then there wasn't much reason for the Mayans to carry on past their current date up to 2012, if they were predicting to last that long.
So, now that I've gotten that out of the way, what do we face this year?
FUCKING EVERYTHING.
These bigoted idiots who say stupid shit like "Ugh, can't wait for this year to be over, so shit" deserve to be shot. So are you a mind reader now? Tell me what course monotony will take this year as this year must be so great. Exactly. It was crap the year before, the year before that, the year before that etc.
So this year again, as expected is going to shit in your face at some point. Life is not perfect, and you better get used to it.
This is a rant post. If you didn't figure that out until reaching this part, congratulations. If you didn't like it, I just wasted your time. Congratulations.
I'm out.

Would you like some pound cake?
Anyway, up again tonight, can't get any sleep whatsoever, so I'm going to rush it one more time before I hit the sleeping pills. Insomnia is a bitch sometimes. I'm going to continue with these 'My Thoughts' articles, I enjoy writing my thoughts about games and the feedback I receive is very constructive (most of the time). I gave in to the hype today and bought a 32" 3D LED TV. I had to replace the 26 due to the fact that it was always temperamental. The 3D is actually quite good and can be applied to anything (even by reading Blogger, although I don't recommend sitting too close to the screen).
Conclusively, I'm tired, can't get to sleep, and I'm going to get another nightly coffee.

My Thoughts - Sonic Generations
Ah, that old chestnut. Like we've already had enough of the devil spawn from Sega.
Nope. Surprisingly, This was pretty good. The gamplay did remind me of the classic 1991 Megadrive hit and this game managed to make it even better. Perhaps the success of it's predecessor, Sonic Colors manages to give this game quite the hype when it was announced. Both Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic have different stages to contend with, with the former based on Sonic's platforming skills and trusty spindash, while the latter focuses on Speed, racing towards the end goal to achieve the quickest time.
The inclusion of stages from past Sonic games is pulled of quite well, classics range from the notorious Green Hill Zone, Seaside Hill from Sonic Heroes (My favourite stage from this game) and one from the recent Sonic Colors.
The game manages to keep the gameplay fresh with not only beautiful, lush visuals, but also by accommodating both Classic and Modern Sonic's abilities to traverse through the zone. While certain stages will be familiar to those playing as Classic Sonic, Sega has managed to add a few extra bits to keep the gamer engaged. Classic zones have been adapted for Modern Sonic as well, so although the stages don't stick to the absolute linear styles of the original games, the atmosphere within the zone is enough to show you that Sega hit the nail on the head with this.
However, I have one gripe with this game. It's too short! The story mode is enough to grasp anybody who is familiar to the Sonic franchise or is new to the series. If Sega managed to extend the storyline, this game would have been a dead ringer.
I managed to pick up this for £6.99 on the Steam Christmas sale, although from what I've seen, the prices range from 15-20 pounds.
So although Sega managed to deliver a fresh new twist to Sonic's everlasting adventures, the short story really makes this game fall flat. But if you're looking for a new Sonic game to just pickup and play, then this is absolutely perfect. There's a high replay value, and if you're looking to either shoot though a level for the fastest time or just to explore for hidden gems, I'd pop this game in anyday.
Okay
I guess I'll admit it. I've had a blog once before and I've never damn well ever stuck to it. Well, I did that one summer though. That was when I was still in school though.
So I'm 19 now and a hell lot of things have changed. I've moved out and I've got my own job. I'm not that little kid with amounts of time on his hands anymore. I know I'll have time to myself now and then, but nothing like the freedoms of a child.
Right now it's early morning, I haven't slept at all, now coming up to nearly 24 hours. I haven't been able to keep a self-clock for a week now, so I'm hoping by exhausting my whole body will get rid of those restless nights.
I'm going to start up this blog again. I'm not going tho stick to a time when I'll post and I'll talk about anything I'll damn well please.
Enough for this post. Ugh, I'm off to get some coffee.
